Pallet Racking Basic Features

There are several basic features of pallet racking. The most common is upright frames, which are vertical columns from the floor up to the top shelf of the storage system. You can alter the space between each shelf to accommodate your specific storage sizing needs. Cross beams are responsible for connecting each frame to the other by way of creating a shelving space for your pallet and storage needs.


Teardrop pallet racking continues to be the most popular style no matter the industry. Tear-shaped holes allow the crossbeam connectors to be placed. The slide-in assembly makes for easy, efficient shelving spaces that are designed with your items in mind. Fasteners, clips, and bolts are not needed.


Additional accessories can be used to maximize the safety of your storage system. For example, wire decking is a great way OSHA-approved method for preventing spillage or falling of pallets. The wire racking allows for a larger space for pallets and other items to be stored versus being placed solely on the two cross beams. This safe decking material is highly used in every industry that utilizes pallet racking.
